Meet the Owner
Hi, I’m Colton Whiteman, the founder and owner of Obscured Vision Tints.
Background
I am a certified window tinter who obtained training at Tint Academy. Although I am new to the tint game, I have always had a passion for cars, trucks, bikes, and anything with at least 2 wheels and a motor. Ever since I was young, I was always intrigued with cars. One of my mom’s favorite memories, is of me lining up all my hot wheels to the bathroom sink, washing the first one in line, then one-by-one, moving them all up until the next one was ready to be washed. My journey in window tinting started when I was looking around for something to create. I was driving with one of my mentors, and we saw a yard sign. It was very simple, and said WINDOW TINTING with a phone number. We got into a discussion about how that would be a great business to start, and I immediately started thinking about what life would be like as a window tinter. I have always wanted to work for myself and create a thriving business, and this was the perfect first step to get started!
The Story Behind OVT
Obscured Vision Tints was born out of my passion for Cars. Inspired by the satisfaction you get while creating something so unique, I decided to turn my dream into reality. Our mission is to remain as honest and transparent as possible while trying to do the best job we can every single time, and our vision is to help you see the difference.
Personal Touch
When I'm not working, I love learning, modifying vehicles, hockey, wakeboarding, and music, specifically bass and big subs. One memorable moment that shaped my journey was when I just got laid off, and was in between searching for a job. I saw that yard sign, and something clicked in my head that made me think, “Hey, I can do that!”. I always wanted to own my business, and build up my own hopes and dreams, not someone else’s. Starting a business as a window tinter was the perfect first step to escape the 9-5 hustle that most of society follows, and has allowed me to gain my time and money freedom to allow me to live life on my terms.
Values & Philosophy
At Obscured Vision Tints, we believe in honesty, reliability, and trust. Our philosophy is the customer comes first, and their needs have to be met, to ensure they are happy when the job is finished. We understand the average person just wants an honest person working on their vehicle or residential property, who loves what they do and takes care of the customer’s belongings as if it is their own. We value having an understanding of what the customer’s vision is prior to each and every project, so we can deliver what the customer truly imagined. We love turning something into a way better version that the client loves.
Achievements & Milestones
Under my leadership, Obscured Vision Tints has tinted numerous vehicles, everything from an RSX, up to a Silverado. We plan to keep expanding on the work we do, so we can provide our services to a broader audience. We are always up for a challenge, and love trying to tint new things we have never had the opportunity to before. We would like to offer our services to the auto, marine, locomotive, aviation, residential, and commercial industries, and appreciate any other industries that would like to reach out.
